About Me

Born in Washington DC, I was raised in Front Royal Virginia. After graduation from Warren County High School, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia. In 1977 we, including my husband Ed, son Steve and daughter Candace moved to the Isle of Palms, SC where I practiced nursing in the Mt. Pleasant area. After becoming a licensed real estate agent in 1985, I was affiliated with the Carolina Company. In 1987 my partner, Caryl Walters, and I opened Beachside Real Estate. I earned my GRI designation in 1988 and my CRS designation in 1992. I have served on the Board of Realtors in various capacities as well as continue to be listed as a REALTOR of Distinction. I continue to be with Beachside Real Estate after Barry and Vicki Hollingsworth purchased the company in 2001.

Not only do I have a productive business life, I am vital in the community. I am a member of the Isle of Palms Methodist Church where I serve on the Board of Trustees. I am an active volunteer in the Friends of Santa, an organization that provides emotional and financial help for children with cancer and their families. I am a member of the Isle of Palms Beachcombers. I am a valued friend to a coterie and individuals. It is my love of people and my enjoyment in helping others that has served me well in my real estate career.
